A minute of your gaze

In the context of LAV - Laboratorio de Arte y Violencia de Género curated by María Laura Rosa – during a workshop performed in the Asociación El Trapito, the gazes of a group of 13 to 17 year-old teenagers were recorded on film. The proposal was for them to tell with their eyes how they felt about themselves, how they saw themselves and what they didn’t like, in order to develop a mentally and emotionally restorative viewpoint, to help them construct a positive self image. A minute of your gaze is a project that invites us to stare into someone’s eyes; pausing for an instant will plunge spectators into the intimate universe of another being they’ll recognize as an equal.
